Meet Shannon!
Shannon Feldman (previously Laesch) is a Master’s Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse who has completed the Fracture Liaison Service Course (FLS) through the National Osteoporosis Foundation and has been treating bone health patients for many years. She is a member of multiple Bone ECHO groups that meet online to discuss osteoporosis treatment and metabolic bone disease. Shannon has taught nursing at Illinois State University for many years. She has years of experience seeing patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings with acute and chronic diseases and illnesses. Shannon is a member of the National Osteoporosis Foundation, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, International Association of Forensic Nursing and the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. Shannon completed a Post Master’s Program in Forensic Nursing, is a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) and has completed many hours in areas of forensic nursing including: campus/college sexual assault, strangulation, intimate partner violence, sex trafficking, elder abuse, forensic photography, expert witness testimony, legal nurse consulting, death investigations, Sexual Assault Patient Care in the Emergency Room courses and has had training from Illinois State Police Crime Lab.
In her spare time Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children, her mother, and family, attending sporting events, traveling, swimming, gardening and camping.
